The Estate

Nuwara Eliya sits high in Sri Lanka's central hills, surrounded by tea country, vegetable cultivation, forest and mountain scenery. Its cool climate, landscaped gardens and distinctive architecture give the town a character that feels very different from the rest of the island, making it one of Sri Lanka's most recognisable highland destinations.

Within Nuwara Eliya, Little England Cottages brings together a collection of English inspired homes set along landscaped lanes and gardens. Tudor, Edwardian, Cotswold, Georgian and Cheltenham inspired designs give the development its own village like identity, with the surrounding tea fields and highland landscape adding to the sense of place.

Pedro Barn sits at the heart of Little England Cottages. Originally created as the privately owned clubhouse of the development, it has since evolved into Little England's boutique luxury hotel, offering guests the chance to stay within the setting itself rather than simply visit it.

The hotel combines comfortable accommodation with dining, a cosy pub, wood fired pizza, a gym and a wellness centre with sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and massage treatments. From Pedro Barn, guests can also explore tea estates and factories, Horton Plains, Moon Plains, the Sita Amman Temple and Ramayana Trail, Nuwara Eliya Golf Club and the wider highland scenery that surrounds the town.
